Zucco di Manavello ( 1112 m ) is an interesting panoramic point on Mandello del Lario , that offers a breathtaking view on Lake Como , on its mountains and also on the Grigne : particularly on Sasso Cavallo , Sasso dei Carbonari and Zucco dei Chignoli.
At Zucco of Manavello you can find the Bivouac Baitello , managed by Gruppo Amici of Manavallo ( on Sunday there is always a responsible ). This place is good to take a break along the way : it is equipped with dishes , burner , tables , seats and even a stove ; while to its outside there are others tables with seats and a barbecue.
There are different itineraries to reach Zucco of Manavello :
- from Rongio , in 1 hours and 30 minutes following the trail sign n. 13 B ( route valle di Portorella )
- from Rongio , in 1 hours and 30 minutes following the trail sign n. 13 B ( route Rossana )
- from Rongio , in 1 hours and 30 minutes following the trail sign n. 13 (direct route)
