The house museum in Moggio Parish was commissioned in 1991 by Maria Goretti taking on the will of her husband Alfonso Invernizzi. The property was donated to the parish with the commitment to use it for the benefit of the whole community in Moggio. For this reason it was decided to realize a place to exhibit all of the objects and tools linked to the old crafts and the past farming tradition.
The House Museum displays historical objects, old photographs, fossils and minerals of the area, which were made available by the citizens of Moggio and not only to support and enhance this precious cultural initiative. The setting of the museum was done with a lot of enthusiasm and the idea that with humble things it’s possible to acquire intellectual wealth.
The museum on the first floor consist of an area with the objects of old crafts, the reconstruction of the local cuisine, the furniture and the trousseau, while on the second floor there’s a collection of ancient religious vestments.
Parish museum summer opening hours: from Mondays to Fridays both in the mornings and in the afternoons while on Saturdays and Sundays is open in the afternoons only.
